An infamous character in the Ancestral Martial Starfield. Ox-Nosed Old Daoist is publicly known as a Saint Cloak Insect Mark World Spiritist notorious for being a great swindler, unlike the other Saint Cloak World Spiritists. He was despised by nearly all the experts of the Starfield.
In reality, he is an extremely powerful being who went through lots of reincarnations, which includes identities like Dugu Lingtian, Zhuge Yuankong etc.
Appearance[]
His clothes were worn-out, similar to a common beggar. He was not tall, the figure was very slim. Although his white hair was tied up on the top of his head, it was disorderly, which made him look extremely sloppy. At his waist, besides hanging a long tobacco pipe, unexpectedly had nearly ten liquor bottle gourds. Not only was he a smoker, but also a full drunkard. He also had a bronze sword tied to his waist. Its quality seemed poor and one could not sense any aura of it thus was unable to determine what kind of armament it was. He also carried a World Spirit Compass of which the quality was extremely good. Although the model was sloppy and one could not bear to look at it, it was a rare treasure. The compass was carefully maintained for it was spotlessly clean. He wore a mask to cover his facial features. He removed his mask when Chu Feng guessed his identity. He had an old face and small beady eyes which made him look the same as a deceitful thief. His nose was unique in that it looked like that of a cow. The whole combination made his face look ugly[1].
Godsoul Formula[]
This is a special mysterious art aimed at cultivating the soul to "perfection". The art allows its cultivator the ability to continuously reincarnate their soul into a new body, retaining their memories in the process. The art however has a flaw, as the longer one reincarnation lives the further from perfection their soul becomes.

- Dugu Lingtian(First Identity) - This is the life he is most fond of. Dugu Lingtian was a God-level genius in the Hidden Dragon Martial Sect and was it is first of that level. He left behind many unmatched accomplishments and was described as the greatest genius to ever grace the sect. It was said that he was met with an accident while completing a mission outside the sect and was killed.
- Zhuge Guangyao - This was his first reincarnation. Zhuge Guangyao was an extremely talented junior born in the Zhuge Family of the Nine Souls Galaxy. It was said that he possessed a powerful spirit treasure that helped him grow stronger very quickly and that he died because of the backlash from the treasure. He left behind the treasure along with a powerful protection formation that makes the Zhuge Family invincible below the Half-God realm. He possessed cultivation(publicly known) of 9th Dragon Transformation Sensation.Holy Light Galaxy
- Zhuge Yuankong(Current Incarnation) - Zhuge Yuankong was a famous world spiritist in the Holy Light Galaxy in the last tens of thousands of years. He was the strongest world spiritist as he reached the 5th Dragon Transformation Sensation before anyone else. He was betrayed by his lifetime friend Sima Xiangtu and was thought to have been killed by Dao Comprehension Sage Exalted.
Novel[]
Volume 8 - Battle Of Prophecy[]
He first appeared in the novel as Daoist Zhu (this was his disguise as he was laying low after his faked suicide attempt), in the mirror sea. Daoist Zhu is a friend of Grandmaster Liangqiu. When Chu Lingxi's eyes were gouged out by Linghu Hongfei, she urgently needed a replacement, the Deepsea Pupils, a natural oddity that could only be found in the mirror sea (A Sacred Vestige of the Great Chiliocosm Upper Realm), was the only known natural oddity they could use. Thus, they requested Daoist Zhu's help.
He has been waiting for someone capable to appear inside the Bright Mirror Sea for a very long time.
He appears before Chu Feng under the Bright Mirror Sea and asks for help to get the Battle God's Halberd in exchange for helping him (Chu Feng) fuse with a Divine Body. He took out Ghost Flame Divine Body which was in the form of a transparent bead; a Heaven Rank Divine Body as his exchange. He later learned that Chu Feng is the son of one of his good friends, Chu Xuanyuan.
When Chu Feng helped him obtain the Battle of God's Halberd, he promised to help Chu Feng and Chu Lingxi obtain the assimilation of their divine power. However, Chu Lingxi ends up giving up. When Chu Feng finish his third step of assimilation of his divine power, Chu Feng told Ox-Nosed Old Daoist that the 79 days are up and Chu Feng needed to go save Old Man Zhu. When Chu Feng went to go save Old Man Zhu, he got into trouble and was saved by Ox-Nosed Old Daoist. It was then revealed that Ox-Nosed Old Daoist and Old Man Zhu were the same person and saving Old Man Zhu by the 79th day was a trial for Chu Feng to assimilate his divine power.
Since Chu Feng passed his tests Ox-Nosed bestowed him an extremely rare Natural Oddity; so rare that one would be hard pressed to find another one in the whole Holy Light Galaxy named Universe Core/Universe Heart that gives him a second dantian; thus fulfilling the requirements for a Divine Body. He took Chu Feng as his disciple (even though he was rejected) saying that the one who he, Ox-Nosed nominates as his disciple, is his disciple.
Volume 9 - Birth of Asura[]
It is revealed that he was once known as Zhuge Yuankong, the former greatest World Spiritist in the Holy Light Galaxy and the first to reach 5th Sense of Dragon Transformation in the entire Holy Light Galaxy, capable of fighting Martial Exalted level cultivators just relying on that. Later on, he was challenged by Dao Comprehension Sage Exalted who at that point was a young genius that also reached the 5th level of Dragon Transformation, and after losing to him committed suicide.
Later, Grandmaster Tang Chen reveals that the actual reason for his defeat was not because Dao Comprehension Sage Exalted was stronger than him (In fact he was being completely suppressed by him), but because of the betrayal of his friend Sima Xiangtu just before the battle.
He reunites with Chu Feng when the latter is about to receive the Ancient Era Domain Inheritance, but since Chu Feng was too weak to accept and protect the inheritance he had to have his master keep it for him. He kills Ghost-Faced Heavenly Exalted and Grandmaster Luo Tuo after they attack him in an attempt to take Chu Feng as their disciple and thus receive the inheritance, revealing his 5th Sense of Dragon Transformation Spirit Power and 2nd Rank Martial Exalted cultivation. Tang Chen notes that not only had Ox-Nosed regained his full cultivation and spirit power at this point, but had gotten stronger, as in the past he had only been 1st Rank Martial Exalted.
After Chu Xuanyuan takes care of the invading members of the Demon Morph Clan he privately visits Ox-Nosed Old Daoist and has a talk with him. Chu Xuanyuan then informs him about the invasion of the Demon Morph Clan and that there was nothing to worry about. It can also be speculated that he provided help to Ox-Nose in the form of cultivation resources and asked him to watch over Chu Feng for him since he will be going somewhere far away. When Ox-Nose returns to the Seven Suns Mountain Range he informs Chu Feng and the others that a friend of his informed him of the Demon Morph Clan and that they had left the Holy Light Galaxy. Unbeknownst to everyone present, when he mentions his friend he takes a meaningful glance at Chu Feng.
He then travels to the Dragon Clan in the Holy Light Galaxy to help Chu Feng deal with his hatching Qilin egg. As the clan was already looking for World Spiritists to help them open the Dragon Source Vein, he offers his services but in return would like to enter the clan's Ancestral Lands. The Dragon Clan later reluctantly agrees to his request. As two people are needed to enter the Dragon Source Vein, the head of the Dragon Clan, Long Ao, nominates his most outstanding daughter, Long Mumu. Chu Feng however rejects this due to her treatment of Long Xiaoxiao and decides to go with her instead, a decision Ox-Nose agreed with. He later gives Chu Feng a treasure that would help Long Xiaoxiao to merge all the power of the Dragon Source Vein into her Bloodline and fuse with it, thereby greatly strengthening her Bloodline power.
After that, he goes to the Dragon Clans Ancestral Land (Forbidden Area) with Chu Feng intending to suppress the Qilin within the egg. However, the strength of the Qilin was too powerful and even though he managed to put a seal on it, he received a backlash for using his full power to aggravate an old injury. If his body was not fixed within a short period he would end up dying so he sent Chu Feng to the Nine Souls Galaxy through a transportation formation that Ox-Nose personally sealed (because its power was limited) to get a creature he sealed there. This demonic flame creature can completely heal his old injuries.
After Chu Feng returns and he heals his body he leaves on a personal revenge journey to find Sima Xiangtu who betrayed him. He tells Chu Feng there was no need to follow him and that he should instead follow the Dragon Clan to the Nine Souls Galaxy, as he might be lucky enough to receive a great fortune.
Ox-Nosed Old Daoist is being imprisoned by Sima Xiangtu, who is intending to use his, Jiuhun Miaomiao, Jiuhun Xiaoxiao, and Chu Feng's souls for his cultivation. After Chu Feng gained the Asura World Spirit army and saved the rest, Sima Xiangtu fled to Monstrous Spirit Clan and killed Yaocheng, he was shocked by the arrival of Shentu Haoting who questions him about the puppet army, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Ox-Nosed Old Daoist, who killed Shentu Haoting and told Sima Xiangtu about his cultivation technique and commented that if Sima Xiangtu had not betrayed him, he may have kept him alive, before killing him and absorbing his soul. Ox-Nosed Old Daoist proceeded to inform Chu Feng about his general situation and that he will be leaving the Eastern Region for the time being with the help of Song Changsheng.
Volume 10 - Conferred God of the Chu Clan[]
He disguised himself as "Brother Ren" when the Demonic Monk attacked the Totem Dragon Clan at the Sacred Dragon Ruins. He helps the Demonic Monk refine all the bloodlines of the Totem Dragon Clan's people. However when the latter found out that Chu Feng was the inheritor of the Sacred Dragon Ruins and revealed his intentions to refine him, Ox-Nosed Old Daoist stepped out and revealed himself as Chu Feng's master.[2]
Ox appeared before Mo Chengzhou, in his private space while the latter was going after Long Suqing, who was trying to save Chu Feng. Mo Chengzhou lost all his confidence when Ox blocked his ultimate attack like it was nothing. Ox kills Mo Chengzhou's son as the latter had killed lots of people. Mo Chengzhou commits suicide after learning from Ox that he was not one who was guarding the Holy Light Galaxy 10,000 years ago and realizing that it has more than one guardian.

- Ox-Nosed Old Daoist disguised himself as the eccentric Daoist Zhu who resides in the Bright Sea Mirror. He was able to con Grandmaster Liangqiu into thinking that it was Daoist Zhu who was disguised as Ox-Nosed when it was the other way round.
- As Daoist Zhu, Ox-Nosed Old Daoist claims to be from another starfield.
- Ox-Nosed Old Daoist, during the conversation with Song Changsheng, the former remarked how the latter was the only one who could talk back to him on an equal level in the entire Eastern Region.
